In fall 2016, Sustainable Initiatives received a $1000 25th Anniversary Grant from the Montgomery County Community Foundation.
Part of the grant was used to plant new evergreens at Nibble Neighborhood Park on the east side of Crawfordsville, which will screen the view from nearby industry.
The other portion of funds went for the installation of Montgomery County’s Indiana Bicentennial “Tree of Hope”. An Autumn Brilliance Serviceberry was planted at historic Lane Place in Downtown Crawfordsville, signifying a celebration of our community’s past and hope for its future.
